Did you know cars have life expectancies? The average longevity for a well-kept, well-maintained vehicle is 12 years or 170k miles. That’s roughly 5 to 6 tune-ups throughout the lifespan of an average automobile.
In some cases, an older car can last even longer if important components are replaced over time. That’s why there’s a focus on restoration for cars that are older than 25 because then they are getting into “classic” territory.
How Long Will You Wait During a Tune-Up?
Many of our customers to Conaway Motors sit in our comfortable waiting room during our tune-up services. The tune-ups can usually take two to four hours, depending on the make and model of your vehicle. Of course, you don’t have to wait. Someone could come with you in a separate car to take you home when you drop your vehicle off, and we will call you when your car is ready for pick up.
During tune-ups, we inspect the entirety of your car, inside and out. Your vehicle’s filters and fluids are replaced, tires are rotated, and lines, columns, and bolts are checked multiple times to ensure proper, smooth function. You can depend on us to catch any small issues and remedy them before they become bigger problems.
